    Alaha Nasari, a freshman in Heather Stavrinadis’ Pre-AP World History Class at the high school, earned first place at the Long Island Voice of Democracy audio essay contest sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

    During the holiday season, high school varsity lacrosse coach Tom Kinsella and his team collected toys and gift cards to distribute to children with cancer and their family members at Winthrop Hospital.

Important Announcements

  • Petitions for School Board Seats Available

    3 seats on the Hicksville School District Board of Education will be expiring on June 30th. Any Hicksville resident interested in running for the 3 year term may pick up a petition from the District Clerk on weekdays from 8:30-4:30 at the school district office. The deadline for returning petitions is April 17.  The New York State School Board Association has provided a document for prospective school board members outlining the Board members' responsibilities and the election process.  For more information, call the District Clerk at 516-733-2104.
