Middle School Students who are taking French, German, Italian or Spanish 8 will be taking the Checkpoint A examination on

Monday, June 17, 2013.   Students must pass both the class and the Checkpoint A examination in order to receive one unit of credit in a Language Other Than English towards high school graduation.  Students are expected to take levels 2 and 3 of the same language in 9th and 10th grade.  At the end of 10th grade, students take a Checkpoint B examination.  Upon passing this examination and their class, students will be eligible for the Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation.
