Farrell’s Focus:

                   Snack Suggestions:  Fruit, cheese, yogurt, veggies with dip, applesauce, cereal bars, and crackers are healthy choices to help your child have energy.  These snacks become popular when your child sees a friend eating them.

                   Birthdays:  Children may bring in a small treat for their birthday.  We will have a small celebration during snack time.  Parents should leave all birthday treats by the greeter at the main entrance.

                   Birthday invitations:  I will distribute invitations to parties only if there is an invitation for every child in the class.  I have 22 students in the class this year.

                   Notes:  Notes to the teacher are required in the following instances:

*if someone other than you is picking up your child

* any absence or lateness

*any change in dismissal

* early pick-up ( doctor or dentist appointment)

* anything that you feel that may be helpful

Absence Notes:  Please send in a note with the reason for your child’s absence on the day he/she returns to school.

Rainy/snowy day attire:  Please use heavy coats in cold weather or rain coats with a hood or hat.  Umbrellas are hard to handle and may be dangerous.

          Contact with teacher:  Of course the folder is the best means of communication with a note for me to contact you because I look in them every morning, but if you must speak to me please call the office during school hours to arrange a time to speak or meet.

          Sending in Money to school:

          Please send all money into school ( trips, lunch , etc ) in an envelope clearly marked with the amount, purpose, and child’s name.
