Hicksville Public School District is seeking an outstanding instructional leader to lead a dedicated team of four assistant principals, curriculum specialists, chairpersons and over 180 talented faculty members. Hicksville High School provides quality educational opportunities with a strong college preparatory program for a culturally diverse population of approximately 1750 students.
Qualifications required of the successful candidate:
· Proven record of dynamic, inspirational and visible leadership
· Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Demonstrate expertise as a secondary administrator with an understanding of and ability to implement NYS education reforms including Common Core Standards, assessments and APPR
· Commitment to ensuring college and career readiness and success for all students.
· NYS SAS, SBL or SDA required

Teaching Assistant Vacancies
Teaching Assistants must be certified through New York State Department of Education and are required to have an associates degree (or higher) or 64 college credits. All teaching assistant postions are part time; four hour per day.
