Welcome to Our Reading Class

      We are going to have a very exciting year. We will be learning many interesting  things.  We will be learning strategies that will help the children increase their vocabulary, sharpen their fluency, and strengthen their comprehension skills. 

      Our classes are for children in Grades One through Five who need to strengthen their skills. They will be meeting five days a week for forty minutes each day.  Based upon the strengths and weaknesses of the children in each class, the instruction will be differentiated. This way their individual needs can be met.

      Open communication with parents is essential. Feel free to call the Burns Avenue School @ 733-2311 if you have any questions or concerns about your child. I will keep you informed of your child’s progress throughout the year.
