WELCOME TO MRS. LOMBARDI'S FIFTH GRADE CLASS!It will be a very exciting year. We will be working on many interesting topics as we prepare for the Middle School. Some information that will be helpful to you follows:
Homework will be given Monday through Thursday. Homework will always include 20 minutes of reading and writing a response in a journal. Your child should be reading a book on their lexile level for this assignment.
Book reports will be given each month. At times, a specific genre will be assigned. Again, your child should be reading a book on their Lexile level for this assignment.
Extra help is every week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:05-8:30.
Extra, Extra Read All About It!
The 5th Grade News Club is starting and looking for some eager reporters. We will be reporting the important news stories from our school, community, country, and our world. Our reporters will report headlines,sport scores, and weather to the entire school at our weekly Friday radio address. Meetings will be held weekly on Fridays at 8:05 in room 141 to choose which stories to report on. Editors in Chief: Mrs.Covelli and Mrs.Lombardi
