Welcome to my webpage! My name is Mrs. Ketyer and I am an ESL teacher here at East Street. I have been teaching in Hicksville for 8 years, four of them at this school. I enjoy reading, cooking and learning new things.
I am very happy to be working with your child this year. I have many interesting activities planned that will help develop his or her language skills. Please check your child's folder and agenda each day so you know about school work and homework. It is very helpful if your child reads for at least 20 minutes each night either with you or alone. Reading and talking about books is a wonderful way to build vocabulary and grammar skills.
I know that with your child's hard work in school and your support at home, it is going to be a great year!
