Students Read Across America to Honor Dr. Seuss

To commemorate Dr. Seuss’s birthday, students in Burns Avenue participated in the Read Across America Program on Thursday, March 2nd. The Read Across America Program is designed to enhance literacy and increase student interest in reading.  During the day, students in the Primary Grades were paired up with students in the Intermediate Grades so that they could read together. The younger students greatly enjoyed listening to the stories that were read to them by the students in Grades 3-5 and all of the students had a wonderful time celebrating the birthday of Dr. Seuss.
