The National Art Honor Society is an organization in which distinguished Art students are recognized and have the opportunity to share their awareness and abilities within our High School, District and community. Students wishing to be inducted into the National Art Honor Society must be in ninth, tenth, or eleventh grade and must fulfill the following criteria:

- Complete and pass the course Studio in Art
- Maintain a 90% average in all art classes
- Maintain an 85% average in all academic classes
- Receive the recommendation of two teachers
- Attend the National Art Honor Society meetings regularly
- Participate in National Art Honor Society sponsored school and community activities
- Demonstrate positive character qualities including leadership skill, reliability, trustworthiness, and personal integrity

The Hicksville High School chapter is advised by Mrs. Angela Galante. Interested students should see Mrs. Galante for application materials and submission deadlines. Students who meet the criteria and complete the formal application process within deadlines, including verification of grades by the guidance department and submission of two teacher recommendations, may be inducted at the spring ceremony. Members are expected to maintain these high standards throughout their years at Hicksville High School. The organization also has five student officers including a president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and historian.

The induction ceremony for the 2011-2012 school year will take place on Monday, March 19, 2012 in the High School Auditorium.
