Let’s Keep Hicksville Healthy!
The NYS Department of Health requires the monitoring of symptoms when you feel sick, and you are urged to please stay home when feeling sick.

If your child is sick with the following symptoms of fever, chills, cough, loss of taste/smell, sore throat, difficulty breathing, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, muscle aches, headache, nasal congestion, or a runny nose, please consult with your child’s doctor.

If your child was tested for COVID, he or she may NOT return to school until results are provided to the school. In order to return to school, a child MUST either present a negative test for COVID and be fever-free for 24 hours, OR have a doctor’s note with a diagnosis other than COVID allowing your child to return to school, be feeling better, and fever-free for 24 hours. Alternatively, a child without a negative COVID test or a doctor’s note with a diagnosis allowing them to return to school will have to stay home for 10 days.

If you have any questions, please contact your school nurse.

We appreciate your cooperation with keeping the students in our schools safe and healthy, which allows us to be able to keep our schools open for all.
