Students at Lee Avenue School in Hicksville recently participated in a cereal food drive that ran over the last three weeks collecting close to 150 cereal boxes.

On Jan. 27, to celebrate the cereal drive contributions, the school’s student body gathered in the gym and sat patiently around the boxes of cereal arranged to spell “Lee.” Lee Avenue Principal Christopher Uccellini explained, “This wonderful act of kindness has created a chain reaction, and one act of kindness can have a domino effect!”

The boxes were then tipped over like a chain of dominoes, to the excitement of the students gathered.
The cereal is being donated to a community pantry that supports local families in need.
