On Wednesday, March 2nd, Hicksville Public Schools celebrated Read Across America. This event was coordinated by Hicksville High School Library Media Specialist, Christine Anderson.  She invited various guest readers including teachers, counselors, administrators, and Board of Education members to read a special book of his or her choice to students in our seven elementary schools. This event was held virtually from 8:50 am until 2:50 pm.  Classes were able to connect through Google Meet for a time that best worked for their classes to hear a read aloud story.

Participants included Christine Anderson, Kelley Minot, Inna Mishiev, Elaine Kabaservice, Irene Carlomusto, Brenda Judson, Eva Shtein, Corey Cohn, Artie Mediate, Sunita Manjrekar, Erin Orcel, Stephanie Piscitelli, Jill Zeilander, Brendan McGowan, Lauren DuBeau, Jennifer DeTomaso, Lauren Cardello, Russell Garcia, Amy Mastrocinque, Chelsea Quaranta, Petrice Peppers, Michael Biondi, Carolann Higgins, Stella Drakos, Erin Lawlor, Melissa Corbett, and Rose Borda.
