Opening Day in HPS!

Opening Day in HPS!
Posted on 09/06/2019

The opening day of school for over 5,000 Hicksville Public School students dawned with blue skies and late-summer warmth on September 4th. Smiles of anticipation were abundant as students stepped from buses or walked with friends or parents in the early morning light to their schoolhouse doors. Sporting new backpacks, shoes, and carefully considered first day outfits and hairstyles, the students’ excitement was palpable. Building administrators and teachers at the district’s nine school buildings enthusiastically welcomed the K-12 students with hugs, fist-bumps, and high-5s. Best wishes to all HPS’s students for a successful 2019-2020 school year!
