The district provides transportation for students who live in the district and who attend public or nonpublic school according to the policy set by the Board of Education. Transportation of children to private and parochial schools outside the district is provided up to a maximum of 15 miles and transportation for disabled children is mandated by state law up to 50 miles. All requests for transportation of nondisabled children attending private and parochial schools outside the district within the 15-mile limit must be made by April 1 preceding the next school year.
The District's Transportation office is located in the Administration Building, 200 Division Avenue, Hicksville NY 11801.

Bus passes are mailed at the end of August to parents of eligible students. In order to ensure a smooth school opening, no bus stop changes will be made during the first two weeks of school.
