  • Snow Contingency Day

As a result of missing five days of instruction due to inclement weather and in order to meet our New York State mandated 180 days of school, the Hicksville Public Schools will be open for regular classes on Thursday, March 29, 2018. Please note that this “Snow Contingency Day” is indicated on the school calendar.

Therefore, the Spring Recess will begin on Friday, March 30 and end on Friday, April 6 with students returning to school on Monday April 9.

Additionally, in order to meet this 180 day requirement, the District will be holding a Superintendents Conference Day, for faculty and staff only, later in June.

We thank you for your patience and understanding as we work together to meet the challenges of this winter season.
