La Comida Project

Our World Languages classes are integrating technology to encourage our students to use the target language in creative ways. Our students were assigned a project to describe their favorite food in Spanish in the unit "La Comida".  These students took their assignment to a new level. We are very proud of our student's efforts and kudos to  Ms. Auquilla, one of our superstar Spanish teachers at Hicksville Middle School!

The following examples of work are courtesy of our Italian 7 and 8 classes with Mrs. Olsen. 

Seventh grade students at Hicksville Middle School have been working on the topic of  "The Weather" in their Italian classes. Students had to write weather expressions related to the season and then tell why they liked the season. 

Seventh graders are also working on" Chi Sono Io" project. They had to use their first and last name and then use descriptive adjectives containing each letter of their name.

Eighth grade students have been working on body parts in Italian. The monster is from the Health and Welfare Unit. Students had to create a monster/alien/robot and label the body parts in Italian.

La lingua italiana è bella, ma la cultura è ancora più bella.
