
Hicksville Middle School ENL Teacher Dr. Alia Kamal Khan recently published her first book, “The Digital Learner: A Saved Story from the Memory of Mr. Time-Bot, the Class Robot!”
“The Digital Learner” is about the introduction of Education Technology and how through facing fears, overcoming challenges, staying optimistic and embracing change, one can be successful when discovering and learning with new and innovative digital technologies in the classroom.
Khan shared, “Digital Technologies are a big part of the world of education, and everyone has different experiences with it. This story gives the reader a different perspective on the challenges one faces with digital technologies in the classroom that will surprise readers of all ages.”
Dr. Khan has been a teacher for the past 14 years. She earned a Doctor of Education and is a researcher who focuses on how technology impacts education, the benefits of embracing change and promoting positivity.
