Hicksville School District welcomed students back for the 2026-2027 school year on September 2, filling hallways and classrooms with the buzz of a fresh start. Students arrived eager to reconnect with friends, meet their new teachers, and settle into their new classrooms. 

Principals, teachers and administrators greeted families with smiles and helping hands, easing first-day nerves and setting a welcoming tone for the year ahead. A mix of excitement and anticipation carried throughout the day.
