Mission

The mission of Hicksville Public Schools is to foster an inclusive and supportive educational environment where students with disabilities are provided access to a full continuum of services and programs designed to meet their unique needs. Through collaboration among educators, support staff, families, and the Committee on Special Education, the district is committed to promoting meaningful participation with non-disabled peers to the maximum extent appropriate while ensuring individualized placements and services that support each student’s growth, independence, and success.

Goals

The goal of Hicksville Public Schools is to provide every student with a free and appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment, ensuring that all students are supported academically, socially, and emotionally according to their individual strengths, needs, and learning styles.
