Superintendent of Schools

Dear Members of the Hicksville Community,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! I hope the summer provided everyone with opportunities to relax, recharge, and enjoy meaningful time with family and friends. As I begin my fourth year as Hicksville’s Superintendent of Schools, I remain grateful for the opportunity to serve this community and look forward to another year of learning, collaboration, and accomplishment.

Throughout the summer, our schools have been filled with activity as administrators, teachers, support staff, and facilities personnel have worked diligently to prepare for the return of our students. We are excited to welcome everyone back and begin a new year filled with possibilities.

Each school year offers students a fresh opportunity to discover new interests, develop their talents, overcome challenges, and build lasting relationships. Our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to creating safe, supportive, and engaging learning environments in which every student is known, valued, and encouraged to succeed. The partnership between our schools and families remains essential to this work, and we look forward to continuing that collaboration.

The 2026–2027 school year marks the second year of implementation of our District Strategic Plan. During its first year, we began transforming the priorities identified by our community into meaningful action across our schools. This year, we will build upon that foundation, evaluate our progress, and continue advancing initiatives that strengthen student achievement and experiences, family and community engagement, a supportive professional environment, and district operations.

I look forward to connecting with students, families, staff, and community members at the many concerts, athletic events, performances, celebrations, meetings, and other activities throughout the year. These gatherings showcase the talents and accomplishments of our students while reflecting the dedication of the educators, families, and community members who support them.
