Dear Families,
As summer approaches, we want to help our students stay mentally active and continue building on the progress
they’ve made this school year. To support this goal, we’re excited to continue with our IXL Summer Challenge!Students will receive a set of 20 engaging math and language arts activities to complete over the summer using
IXL. These tasks are designed to reinforce key skills and provide continued practice in a fun, personalized way.
IXL is a powerful online learning tool we’ve used throughout the year. It offers individualized skill
recommendations that help students review important concepts and prepare for the year ahead. By using IXL
over the summer, students can keep their skills sharp and stay on track for success in the fall.To make summer learning even more fun, we’ve included the IXL Summer Bingo Challenge. This activity
encourages students to complete a variety of IXL tasks—such as mastering a new skill, practicing consistently,
or exploring recommended topics—to fill in their bingo card. It’s a great way to stay motivated and make
learning exciting all summer long. Here’s how you can support your child’s summer learning:
- Encourage them to aim for a SmartScore of 80 or above, showing a strong understanding of each skill.
- Help them set a goal to complete all 20 math and language arts activities, as well as the entire bingo card.
- Celebrate their achievements by checking progress reports and certificates available in IXL.
Whether your child practices a little each day or works toward completing the full challenge, each effort will
help them retain and strengthen the knowledge they’ve gained this year. Steps to access the summer challenge
are included within this packet.Thank you for your continued partnership in your child’s education. We wish you and your family a safe,
relaxing and enriching summer.Sincerely,
Timothy J. Piciullo, Ed.D.
