Transportation Eligibility
Transportation to public and non-public schools in the District is provided according to mileage guidelines, as approved by the voters of the district. The current guidelines are:
Grade K-5 living more than ½ mile from school
Grade 6-8 living more than one mile from school
Grade 9-12 living more than 1.25 miles from school
Transportation of non-disabled children to private and parochial schools outside the district is provided up to a maximum of 15 miles and must be requested by April 1 of the preceding year.
Transportation of disabled children is mandated by state law up to 50 miles.
Non-public School Transportation
All requests for transportation of non-disabled children attending private and parochial schools outside the district within the 15-mile limit must be made by April 1 preceding the next school year. Application forms and detailed information are available at the Transportation Office or by clicking the link below.
Bus passes will be mailed at the end of August to parents of eligible students. In order to ensure a smooth school opening, no bus stop changes will be made during the first two weeks of school.
