In a creative and modern twist, fifth graders at Burns Avenue Elementary in Hicksville welcomed family members and special guests to their annual Author’s Celebration, showcasing their original writing through a digital format.
Rather than presenting their stories aloud in front of the room, students shared their work through QR codes, allowing guests to access personalized digital reads recorded by the young authors themselves. The room was quiet yet filled with student voices as guests listened through headphones.
