Fifth grade students at Fork Lane Elementary School in Hicksville recently wrapped up their physical education bowling unit with an engaging finale. After learning the fundamentals of the game, students also gained a unique appreciation for the sport by learning how to keep score manually an “old school” skill that added an extra layer of challenge and fun.

To celebrate their progress, the top student bowler earned the opportunity to face off against Principal Nick Giarrusso in a friendly and spirited match. The event brought excitement and laughter to all involved, highlighting both the students’ newly developed skills and friendly competition.

The unit reinforced physical activity and encouraged critical thinking and teamwork, making it a well-rounded and enjoyable experience for the students.
