Hicksville High School’s Repertory Company delighted audiences with its recent production of the beloved musical comedy Little Shop of Horrors, presented three performances over March 13 and 14 in the school’s Charles “Chuck” Arnold Theatre.

Little Shop of Horrors follows Seymour, a timid floral assistant who stumbles upon a mysterious plant with an unusual appetite. As the plant grows, so do the stakes, leading to a thrilling and comedic journey that has entertained audiences for generations. The production captivated attendees with its blend of memorable songs, humor, and unexpected twists. 

The production featured a talented cast and crew of 72 students, supported by a dedicated pit orchestra.  Together, they delivered a series of outstanding performances that reflected their commitment, collaboration, and artistic excellence. The students were directed by Hicksville English and Theater Teacher Caitlin Cassidy, with vocal direction by Chorus Teacher Arielle Siegel, the pit orchestra was under the direction of High School Music Teacher Michael Caruso, tech direction was led by Hicksville Middle School Technology Teacher Thomas DePalo and the play was choreographed by Leia DePalo.   

Hicksville Supervisor of Fine Arts Chad Wyman said, “This production serves as a testament to the remarkable talent and hard work of Hicksville High School students, both on stage and behind the scenes, and underscores the strength of the school’s performing arts program.”
