Hicksville Middle School students have brought ancient and modern literature classics to life through an exhibition currently on display in the school’s library entitled Journey Through Epic Tales.
The student showcase features the creativity of the middle schoolers with stunning artistic interpretations of many classics including Homer's The Odyssey from dramatic battle scenes with Polyphemus to Penelope's patient vigil alongside illustrated life graphs tracking Odysseus' perilous journey home to celebrating The Little Prince, with students' original artwork depicting themselves alongside their chosen character, the wise Fox, the devoted Rose, the mysterious Snake, and more.
Each piece is accompanied by thoughtful reflections on why these timeless figures speak to them.
