Middle School’s Jenga Showdown
Posted on 05/22/2026

Throughout April, Hicksville Middle School students took part in an exciting Jenga Tournament, organized bracket-style within each grade during morning Advisory. This friendly competition brought an “old school” game to life, offering a fun, relaxed way for students to connect, compete, and build new friendships.

Hicksville Assistant Principal Jonathan Silkowitz said, “We are always looking for meaningful ways to bring students together, and our Jenga Showdown did exactly that. It was wonderful to see students across all grade levels engaging in friendly competition, demonstrating patience, strategy, and sportsmanship.” He continued, “Activities like this remind us that sometimes the simplest games can have the greatest impact in building community and strengthening connections among our students.”
